The Client

Thames Valley Partnership is a Buckinghamshire-based charitable organisation that delivers crime reduction initiatives to protect victims and support offenders.

 

Project Brief

For this project, we were tasked with consolidating three existing websites into one. The new website aimed to attract funding, volunteers, employees and partner organisations. To achieve this, the site had to clearly define the purpose of the organisation and the impact it makes.

The team also wanted to ease administration with improved website functionality. This included an online process for receiving and processing donations, providing downloadable documents for job applications and a newsletter sign up and template. They also requested an integrated Content Management System (CMS) to ensure that project information and data could be easily updated in-house.

Our Web Development solution

We worked closely with the team to map out a site plan. We clarified what information should feature on the site and how this would be categorised to enhance navigation. As high volumes of information no longer needed to be visible, we provided a storage solution where it could still be accessed as required.

With the navigation agreed, we advised on solutions for all the desired functionality and ensured that these met expectations.

Our content writer worked with the TVP Communications Manager to create, revise and optimise the written content. We also partnered with a local photographer to capture images for the website. The initial photographic concepts could not be realised due to Covid-19 restrictions, but they came up with alternative ideas.

Incorporating real stories was an important element in this website design. Although data is useful for showing the overall impact that Thames Valley Partnership makes, individual stories create an emotional connection.

The Outcome

The new website is clean, clear and provides a lot of information in an easy to navigate format.
