Celebrating our success in the Buckinghamshire Business First Awards 2023
On Friday, 12th January, we had the pleasure of hosting Rob Butler (local Member of Parliament) at our office. Our recognition as finalists in the Buckinghamshire Business First Awards 2023 prompted the visit. We were finalists in the highly competitive Creative Business category. Rob’s visit was an opportunity to highlight of our commitment to creativity, both in our website design and the way we run the business.
Core values: Social Responsibility and Accessibility
Our Director, Tomas Pukalski, shed light on our dedication to social responsibility, partnership and accessibility – core values to Framework Digital.
We discussed our community involvement which includes:
- Strong ties with local charities
- Participation in educational initiatives, including helping to shape local curriculums and placements for T level students
- Nurturing educational growth within the community
Rob was interested in our commitment to social responsibility and particularly accessibility.
Navigating website accessibility
Rob enquired about website accessibility and our passion for ensuring websites are for everyone to enjoy. He asked about the progress made by the government and local businesses in the area. The government has provided a toolkit to help businesses adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2). Businesses are required to follow the WCAG 2.2 guidelines since the Accessibility Regulations 2018. The toolkit is very helpful and gives businesses guidance to catch up.
Bucks has the most micro-businesses in the UK!
Ron told us a unique fact about local business. Buckinghamshire boasts the highest number of micro-businesses. We discussed how this shapes business in Aylesbury and unique outcomes we may be experiencing.
A heart-warming touch: Star, the Hearing Dog in training
Adding a delightful touch to the day, we had the pleasure of hosting Star, a Hearing Dog in Training, in our office. Star’s presence was enjoyed by all, including Rob (as pictured!).
