How to Write a Web Design Brief

workshop will give you the confidence and practical tools to get the best website for your organisation. It will help use the budget efficiently, deliver the project on time and avoid pitfalls.

A new website is both an exciting opportunity to promote your charity and a daunting task. We want to equip you with knowledge of what to consider before approving the budget with a board of trustees and reaching out to tender.

Be Prepared and Informed

This interactive session will explain what you need to consider at the start of the process. Let’s clarify your website requirements and priorities so you feel confident in preparing a project brief, approaching vendors and making informed decisions.

By the end of the session, you will have the tools and structure to discuss the funding and scope for your organisation’s website project with the board and vendors. You will learn how to choose the best proposal and enjoy smooth cooperation with your supplier, leading to successful project delivery.

What will you learn?

  1. How to plan agenda and talking points for a board meeting,
  2. What to consider when planning a new website,
  3. How to write a website brief,
  4. How to identify and assess potential suppliers,
  5. What to look for to evaluate proposals,
  6. How to plan for successful cooperation with a web designer or agency.

Who should attend?

This workshop is a 3-hour long session (with a break) for charity leaders and communication managers considering building a new or rebuilding an existing website for their organisation.

Come with an open mind and your questions; this is an interactive workshop with a Q&A opportunity, including pricing examples.

We aim to help you feel more confident and informed about planning, scoping and going out to tender for your new charity website. We will hand out the template for you to write your own project brief.
