Client Spotlight – BOB VCSE Health Alliance

We spoke to Dawn Newton to ask about her role at BOB VCSE Health Alliance. They were lucky enough to get some funding to support communications and wanted a refreshed website which could help them reflect their progress, as well as encouraging people to become a part of our work.

What is your role at your organisation and what do you enjoy most about it?

I am the comms lead for the Health Alliance, which encourages collaboration between the not for profit sector and the NHS in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West. I see my role as a translator, as the two groups we are bringing together speak and work in quite different ways to each other. I create our content, send out our email newsletters and plan out our marketing and communication strategy and activities.

 

 

Tell us about your organisation and what it strives for? 

The BOB VCSE Health Alliance works to ensure that our VCSE members are supported to work as equals with the NHS. Which includes setting out priorities and strategies, funding / commissioning and practical collaborations. We are working towards an integrated health system which supports residents to live healthier and happier lives.

 

 

What challenge/s did you want Framework Digital to help you with?

The Alliance began two years ago, but in that time the new Integrated Care System has been put in place and we have been working in partnership with them. Framework helped us to create our original website which went live in October 2021. We were lucky enough to get some funding to support our communications and wanted a refreshed website which could help us reflect our progress, as well as encouraging people to become a part of our work. 

 

 

Can you tell us something that happened during a project you weren’t expecting? 

What started as a basic refresh, turned into a new website, with template, different navigational structure and more. The team at Framework were very patient with us throughout the process, providing help to build the new website but also training in how to use Elementor so that we can make changes ourselves. We also benefited from good practice advice, as we did have accessibility as a high priority.

 

 

If you were to recommend Framework Digital to someone, what would you say?

They have been so patient and encouraging throughout the process, it’s never easy but they have helped to make it as painless as possible.
