Client Spotlight – Aylesbury Box Company

We spoke with Luke Jamieson from Aylesbury Box Company in this month’s Client Spotlight. Find out about Luke's role in the company and our partnership through various projects over the years!

In this month’s Client Spotlight we spoke with Luke Jamieson from Aylesbury Box Company. Learn about their work while seeing the success of our collaboration in various projects.

Tell Us About Your Organisation and What It Strives For?

ABC Box specialises in the design and manufacture of corrugated cardboard boxes. We create printed packaging that enhances the protection and presentation of our customers’ products. We manufacture approximately 213,000 boxes a week for start-ups, retailers, manufacturers, fulfilment companies and market-leading brands.

Our business priorities include delivering the best solution for the product and a personalised service for the customer. That relies on a knowledgeable, creative, and helpful team. We have an industrious factory team, personable account managers who visit customers and a responsive office team who are always at the end of the phone.

We strive to ensure our team, customers and suppliers are happy, as that is the only way to keep them! For us, building relationships is central to long-term business success.
We also value environmental and social sustainability. Cardboard is a recycled and recyclable material, and we proactively inform customers on ways to reduce volume and remove plastic. We have successfully cut energy and water use, along with waste and have achieved FSC® certification. Most customers are based within 40 miles of us, which keeps emissions down, and we are partners of The Woodland Trust.

What Is Your Role at Your Organisation and What do You Enjoy Most About It?

I am the Sustainability and Commercial Director, which covers strategy, sales, purchasing, managing the accounts, and ensuring everyone gets paid on time. I am always looking for new opportunities to work efficiently and provide customers and the team with what they need.
A day in my shoes can include reviewing our procedures, considering machine investment, getting to grips with new legislation, a customer meeting and approving a new website!


About a decade ago, we added the sustainability element to my role. This involves reviewing every process including sourcing, manufacture, and delivery. It is important to our customers to have a sustainable supply chain, so it is important to us. We have made multiple changes to be resource efficient and the improvements continue.

What Challenge Did You Face and Want Framework Digital to Help You With?

Our preference is to find local suppliers, so when I spoke with Tomas at a networking event, he was a strong candidate for building our website. That was in 2017 and since then, Framework Digital has supported us with all aspects of digital marketing, including Google Ads and HubSpot. Our business has evolved, so when it was time to update our website, we knew who to ask.
Online marketing is not our strength, so a trusting relationship with Framework Digital has been vital. Over the years, Tomas has made recommendations and provided the reasoning to support it, which we value. Thanks to this support, we have kept up to speed with SEO, which is essential for business.

Working in partnership with Framework Digital means that the website reflects our business values and approachable nature. We are inviting feedback from customers, but the team find the website intuitive to navigate, with clear calls to action. On our part, it took a while to get this project over the line, so we thank the Framework team for your patience.

With the website going live, we have also placed more focus on Google Ads. Framework Digital has been managing this for years and it has been effective in attracting new prospects. We hope this will only get better with the changes we have agreed on.

In addition, you have helped us to implement a content management system, HubSpot, into our business processes and link it to our website. We are still getting to grips with it but can see the potential.

If You Were to Recommend Framework Digital to Someone, What Would You Say?

I would say that Framework Digital aligns with our values; they are an informed, helpful, and responsive company. They have listened, taken interest in our business and their advice and support has helped us grow our business. If we have a question, we know we can pick up the phone and Tomas will respond. It goes back to the importance of relationships, and we have this great relationship with Framework Digital!
