Overview
Hope After Harm is a charity that offer a range of services to support people impacted by the criminal Justice system including victims, offenders and families. Hope After Harm was previously known as Thames Valley Partnership (TVP), however they decide to rebrand after 30 years. We had previously worked with TVP to combine all their separate service websites into one. Following the rebrand, they required our services to update the website.
Challenge
Having changed the organisations name, logo, branding and domain name, the client needed us to complete a full rebrand of their website. It was important that the update reflect their new mission, values and area of operation. It was an opportunity for a full refresh, with a modern, clean look and mobile-first design. However, the charity had a limited budget for the project, that demanded a cost-effective approach.
Solution
We collaborated with the designers on the rebranding and how it would be applied to the new website. In addition, our experience ensured the strong Google search ranking, that had been built over the past decade, was retained. To deliver a cost effective and seamless update, we recommended cloning the website. This enabled us to apply the new branding while the TVP site was live and saved the time-consuming process of transferring content across. Most of the content was still relevant, so this approach allowed small changes to be made, rather than rebuilding the whole website. Finally, we coordinated with the IT department on the domain name management and helped to ensure a smooth switch to the new website, with no links lost in the process.
