Action for AT Philanthropy Award for Framework Digital

Supporting charities and schools has always been an important aspect of the Framework Digital business model.

When in 2015 TEDx was hosted in Aylesbury, we built the website and were an event sponsor. Such events attract like-minded people and result in many inspiring conversations. One such exchange was with Neale Sterio from Action for A-T.

Action for A-T builds awareness of the genetic, childhood degenerative condition Ataxia Telangiectasia. The organisation offers support to families, but its primary focus is on fundraising. At present, there is no cure for the condition. In funding research, it is hoped that it will become possible to slow or stop the progression of A-T. So far the organisation and its supporters have raised an impressive £1.7million.

The Action for A-T website needs to be dynamic to attract donations, promote fundraising events, and celebrate successes. When Neale, Sean Kelly, and Tomas met, the website was built on an outdated structure. However, the branding and general design were strong and worth preserving. The old website was difficult to update and not responsive to mobile devices. We advised on a solution and were asked to take on the project.

Framework Digital worked in close collaboration with the charity and built a fit-for-purpose website within 4 weeks. We also take care of hosting and ongoing support.

Action for A-T has decided to formally ‘recognise companies and individuals who do amazing things for our charity’. Our work on the website has made a positive impact on attracting and engaging supporters. It is a pleasure to help such organisations, and Framework Digital was especially delighted when presented with an ‘Award in Excellence – Philanthropy’.
