Overview
Buckinghamshire Council and Leap had collated research and trialled activities in 55 childcare settings to develop a comprehensive bank of lesson plans and resources that get children moving. They needed a microsite, called ‘Move to Improve’, where nursery staff, parents, and teachers could access activity ideas for children aged 3-7 years old.
Challenge
This website needed to communicate the fun and excitement of active play and provide logical navigation for parents and educators to access chosen resources. It also needed to follow the Council’s brand guidelines. We were keen to find ways to quickly communicate what was on offer, the value and search options, as those looking after children haven’t time to consume detailed information!
Solution
We liaised with the council’s graphic designers, digital team and content creators for this project. Intuitive navigation, search filters and video content supported easy access to information. We uploaded content and trained the team on how to add further resources. Finally, hosting and web analytics were provided. This site provided incredible value during lockdown when there was a 200% increase in users.

The prospect of developing a new website filled us with dread. Trying to make decisions without a clear understanding of the implications meant it was difficult to decide the best way to proceed. The project Manager at Framework Digital answered all of our questions without the usual industry-specific jargon. Working with experts that we could trust gave us the confidence to invest in a new site, which was launched on time and is exactly what we wanted. Framework Digital continues to support us with website improvements and Google AdWords campaign management.
