We are Ambassadors for Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research

We are excited to support and fundraise for Bucks charity Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research by becoming a 10th anniversary ambassador. We at Framework Digital are overjoyed to announce our ambassadorship with Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research (SMSR) charity for their 10th anniversary. We are also celebrating our 10th anniversary and are happy to share this with SMSR, a national charity seeking to promote quality of life in people with spinal cord injury (SCI) through research.

We are Ambassadors for Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research

Owner of Framework Digital, Tomas, met SMSR’s Fundraising Manager Charlotte Minoprio at a networking event for charities and businesses organised by Henry Allmand CEO of Heart of Bucks. Tomas brought the information back to Mike, Project Manager at Framework Digital, who had a great enthusiasm for the Wheels to Work programme. After researching and speaking with SMSR, Mike pitched the ambassadorship to Tomas and we are now a proud part of this.

Poster on celebrating 10 years at the stoke mandeville spinal researchAs a leading local website design company and Google Partner, we have deep roots in the local community, and would like to use our connections and partnerships to raise awareness and improve the lives of people living with spinal injury by contributing to the fundraising efforts of SMSR. Many of us locally have visited the local Guttman Centre in Stoke Mandeville – birthplace of the Paralympics and have heard of the pioneering research of Sir Ludwig Guttman. SMSR have built on these foundations and fund innovative research that helps to deepen understanding of best practice in priority areas, each of which affects the quality of life of people living with SCI.

Wheels at Work ™

Part of our ambassadorship will include organising the Wheels at Work™ challenge in our office in September. SMSR provide the wheelchairs thanks to Gerald Simonds Healthcare – all we need to do is arrange our willing staff members to take part in using the wheelchairs at work for the day, which we are more than enthusiastic about!

By taking a wheelchair to work for the day, we will experience life from a new perspective and educate ourselves into realities of working and social environments while in a wheelchair. We hope to test our workplace for its accessibility and will look to iron out any limitations or celebrate inclusivity we experience after the event. This program will help us to raise money to help in Spinal research through sponsorship. Additionally, we hope to help to communicate everyday realities for the 50,000 people who live with a spinal cord injury in the UK.

We will announce the fundraiser on social media – please support us by making donations and sharing our posts.

Framework’s charity roots

From building free websites for small charities, being involved on school governance to taking part in local and national programs that contribute to education and entrepreneurship, Framework Digital are constantly involved in local charity work and are excited to continue this avenue of our work through ambassadorship for Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research. Through working with local charities in this way, we find ourselves having fantastic relationships and opportunities with charities such as SMSR.

We look forward to working with such a vital part of our community. As most of our clients are based in Buckinghamshire, we like to work with local charities and get involved in the community. We feel strongly about working together to improve accessibility for all; giving everyone the ability to access the same opportunities, personally and for their business of charity alike. In terms of website design and build we offer many different opportunities to improve your online presence at affordable prices, working with local schemes offering business grants towards the cost of your website for example, or providing advice. If you are from a local charity or need any advice around website design, development, performance, or online presence, we would love to hear from you.

Follow us for more updates on our Wheels to Work day coming in September – all sponsorship is gratefully received.
