We spoke to Bron Jones in this month’s Client Spotlight. Bron has always been a pleasure to work with. Her knowledge, eagerness to learn and commitment to Hope After Harm shines through whenever we meet. We love our working relationship and hope you read to the end to see what she says about us!
What is your role at your organisation and what do you enjoy most about it?
I’ve been with Hope After Harm for around 17 years – and my role has evolved quite a bit over time to meet the changing needs of the charity. Currently I am ICT Manager, primarily responsible for information, data, cyber security, including day to day IT as well as compliance for related accreditations. Prior to this, at the charity, I have also been involved in HR, events and networks, marketing and comms over the years. I’ve been lucky to have such diversity in my work and to have great colleagues – every day is different, so flexibility is really important.
Tell us about your organisation and what it strives for?
We recently celebrated our 30th year as a charity – we’re registered as Thames Valley Partnership but the recent special occasion offered a great opportunity to rebrand the charity to Hope After Harm – which helps better describe what we do – bringing hope to those whose lives have been impacted by crime.
We offer a range of services and support to victims, offenders, families and young people involved in or impacted by criminal, civil and family justice issues. We are driven by a desire to make a positive and measurable difference in the lives of those we serve – and to help foster a culture of fairness and inclusivity – where everyone feels valued and equal.
What challenge/s did you want Framework Digital to help you with?
We first met the Framework team in the spring of 2020 when we were updating the old Partnership website – we wanted a modern, clean, mobile device friendly website but had a limited budget to achieve this.
Can you tell us something that happened during a project you weren’t expecting?
Covid! We had just started our discussion with Framework and then lockdown happened – so delivering our front line services was a huge challenge – we all had to reprioritise and had limited capacity internally to support with the site.
Tomas (and Catherine who helped with copy writing) were incredibly supportive, working around our changing timescales and delays. We finally launched that site in spring 2021. When we rebranded to Hope After Harm earlier this year Framework did a rebrand facelift of the site with a new colour way to match our new logo. There are a few tweaks from our side still to be made (a work in progress!) but we love the new fresh look they’ve created.
If you were to recommend Framework Digital to someone, what would you say?
They are patient and encouraging. Also, they explain options in layman’s terms so everything is clear and unlike a lot of companies we have dealt with over time, they don’t try to upsell with marketing speak. It’s a much more personal, practical service – which I think is really important, especially for a charity.
